You’ve reached the archive of articles and other bits and pieces published by drobe.co.uk - a website for users of RISC OS and Acorn Computer kit. Drobe was an online newspaper and community site, although it ceased actively covering the RISC OS scene in September 2009. The website was founded in 1999 and officially launched in October that year as a news portal edited by Peter Price . Chris Williams took over as editor of the site in 2001. During its heyday Drobe was serving millions of pages of content a year - some of its readers were RISC OS users and others just curious about the platform’s little corner of the computing world. Numerous writers have kindly contributed articles to the website and hundreds of users registered for accounts to post thousands of comments; all the content produced since |
